The Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa invited the members of Central Florida Travel Writers to come and be a guest to see the Dinosaur Exhibit. The group met at the Zoo on April 10 and several wrote about their experience. Links to each of the travel articles is supplied at the bottom of this article. The writers and photographers met at the Zoo for a tour of the exhibit with Jason Davis of Marketing and free time to browse.

The DinoQuest is a journey through the 20 lifelike and life-size dinosaurs with a sense of Jurassic Park. The interactive life-size dinosaurs can surprise and fascinate any visitor especially young visitors. The dinosaurs are created by Billings Production providers of traveling and permanent exhibits of large animatronics dinosaurs.

This exhibit is great for children who are interested in Science and the animals who roam the earth many centuries ago. Tyrannosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Suchommimus are part of the adventure for the youngsters and adults to really immerse themselves in history.

Dino Nites has a completely different feel for visiting the exhibit

Parking is complimentary.

Several times a year Zoos, Aquariums, and Science Centers have Five Dollar admission days. For those who live close, getting an Annual Pass would make sense for several visits every year and changing exhibits.

There are lots of animals at the zoo beyond special exhibits. Manatee Rescue Programs help those who are damaged or in the Winter sometimes when the water gets too cold there are several rescue operations throughout the state of Florida.  To see the Manatees in natural habitats, visit during the colder weather months when they go up river to the hot springs with consistent temperatures. Many state parks have protected areas surrounding the springs, Blue Spring State Park Manatee Winter Refuge is just one.

I have never visited the Zoo yet. When I had a MOSI Pass, I made the trip for free admission. The one time I went, it was closed because we had a lot of rain and it was flooded. Situated out in a residential area surrounded by trees and small town feel. MOSI is a science center worth seeing if in Tampa. I went to see a traveling show on animation and thought I would get back lots. I did go to the Florida Aquarium with the pass.
