Surprise in my email box, a confirmation on August 16 announcing my acceptance as one of 150 NASA GRAIL tweetup. My heart jump! Was this real? It was way pass the time frame of when they had confirmed others. There it was, a confirmation! Having grown up with the Space Program this was exciting.  My giggles and squeals were palpitating. Tour of NASA Kennedy Space Center, speakers, launch site, countdown clock, and meeting other twitters. Our agenda is  full of amazing people over the two days as announced by NASA in their press release.

Sharing my experience with my 3000 plus twitter followers and followers of my Freelance Tourist Travel Website and Facebook Fans will help others experience NASA though me. Writing about my experience is a great way to share with others as I did when I attended the   Touch Down of the Last Shuttle . Being a part of history is very exciting and a great honor. The NASA volunteers and employees are exceptional in communicating and planning these events. Thank all of NASA for all that they do to further our space exploration as President Kennedy wanted. His wishes live on within me and others who have been part of these scientific and space exploration moments.

NASA Twitter Followers Will Tweet History as the GRAIL spacecraft launches

Orlando, Fla (August 30, 2011) – NASA will bring together 150 Twitter followers to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida for a two-day Tweetup, September 7 – 8, 2011, for the launch of Twin GRAIL rockets. Orange County resident Eileen Ludwig has been selected as one of 150 @NASA Twitter followers to attend and Tweet the event. GRAIL is targeted to launch on September 8 at around 8:37 a.m. EDT from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida

As a NASA Tweetup attendee, Ludwig and the other 149 Twitters will interact with NASA technicians, scientists and engineers from GRAIL and other upcoming missions, astronauts, managers and NASA’s social media team as well as tour Kennedy Space Center and view the launch . Attendees were selected through a lottery system in which many applied over a two day period in July.

Being selected for the NASA Tweetup is an incredible honor having followed both the successes and failures of the Shuttle missions. Being able to tour, meet, and listen to renown individuals connected with Space missions is delightful and informative. Being part of history making is exiting”
