Harry Potter Land is what I call it when ever I go to visit. Love the theme. The buildings. The tourist in robes, scarfs, and wands. Many people come and buy. The line for the wands to pick you is always long.

As I sat on a bench near the Owl Post, a child was just given a broom for flying and he was running around with his imagination, stopped to pick up his wand and was using it. It was great to see a child using their imagination.Most people in the whole Islands of Adventure are in Harry Potter Land. Makes the lines for the other attractions short.

I have not seen all the films. Did buy the set of books to read. I just love the feel of the place and the people visiting. Many English. The people are everywhere. The shops are small to give the authentic feel of the story.

Being a chicken, the rides at Hogwarts is out for me BUT I love walking through and seeing the pictures moving and the and holographs or whatever of the characters. It just gives you a feeling you are in the story, part of something much bigger. I love the magic of Harry Potter and how it has transformed so many children and adults into imagination. Just thinking about the story written by someone on the dole (unemployed) is in itself fascinating. The blessing of opening her imagination and giving a great gift to the world.

My intention was late lunch at Three Broomsticks no matter what the wait since I have never gone. Normally the line is out the door.  To my surprise, no wait. Just feeling like I was in a story book, I could not make up my mind so ordered a child portion of the fish and chips and the Cornish Pastries with a small salad. Of course, I ordered a Butterbeer but forgot to ask for frozen which has a wonderful texture to the taste. Butterbeer is like cream soda with something sweet and foam added. Fun taste!

Every time I go, I take pictures even if they are duplicates because I see things differently each time. For me, the English look I can feel like I am with Bert from Mary Poppins, yes another story, another time. Love being in a story. Love the fantasy. Love imagination. Love the giggle fun of the child within.

One entrance the first thing you come upon is Hogwarts Express. I love trains and own a ancient Lionel Train set. This train is smoking with a platform declaring you are at Hogmeade. Immediately you are transformed into the story filled with other muggles. The fun begins. Enjoy your visit! Let your imagination soar!

Honeydukes for sweets. The windows are worth browsing. If you get a chance to be there at dark, the lighting is really awesome.
