Freelance Tourist Travel Tips Movie Review of The Social Network
Movie Staycations are great getaways from stress and normal routines. Getting free passes make it even better. Gofobo for free movie screening This was the second time I had seen this movie. The Music and Intensity of the Geek versus the Elite was a draw for me. Even though I know this movie was loosely based on facts since the Real Mark Zuckerberg who created Facebook was not consulted.
The premise of the story was something I had lived through with computer, engineers, and geeks.
The music of the Trailer and craziness of the characters competing or being exploited by others. Watching the rich Kids who want to exploit the Intellect of Mark Zuckerberg without ever accepting him into their elite club was a plot point I loved seeing them not win. How many rich have exploited the talents of highly intelligent people? Marketing types take so much from the creators and now the creators are learning to strike back and use their talents to get what they deserve. Rooting for the Geek guy was easy. Yes now he is one of the rich. Doing what he wants with what he created.
The idea of a Social Network digitally for those who are social inept is genius. Many who don’t belong to the Sororities or Fraternities or can not get in because of a lack of social skills have found Networks of people on the Internet where they can find their Tribe. Find where they belong.
The character in All About Steve played by Sandra Bullock had the same quest, a sense of belong.
The Social Network the main character is alone in the end. Wishing for the girl.
Rich in money but poor in love.
What an interesting ending? Pitiful?
The ending stresses how much we need social Interaction and acceptance.
Great Movie and so glad I got to see it again in a Theater with the blaring speakers to Intensify the sound and the sense of urgency of being out ahead of the Wave of Internet discoveries and inventions. Be in the Now, NOW!
There are a number of reviews that speak of the movie, plot, characters for more depth on those aspects the article in the LaTimes is great.
Very Interesting and exciting film worth seeing at least once and for me several times. I would enjoy it again.
