Legoland a place for both children and adults

Legoland has height Restrictions make sure your child is tall enough to go on everything or wait until they are.
Legoland Florida opens to Rave reviews by the majority of people. Legolands throughout the world are special because they are so interactive and based on a toy so many kids enjoy. Future Engineers and scientist build Pirate ships, buildings, or star war figures. Using their imagination to create their own scenes and stories the children learn to create. Going to Legoland takes that adventure to a bigger setting. Large Figures and animals made of Lego’s fascinate both children and adults. Legoland is great for adults too

The rides for the younger ones allow them to drive without a track and learn a skill for following the lines and adhering to rules. Even the boats are not on a track. The safari ride is a smaller area but it is still a place of imagination full of animals. Giraffes heads are high in the trees feeding.

Legoland Florida is 45 minutes from Tampa and 45 minutes from Orlando but there is a Shuttle. Save on Parking fees and gas and take the Shuttle. Nice at the end of the day not to have to drive back. Reservation must be made a least a day in advance. Nice coach with soft seats made the trip easy.

As soon as you walk up there are Lego Southern Belle as a reminder of Cypress Gardens days gone. She isn’t as pretty but amazing to be made out of Legos. There are Lego character on the signs. Look up as you approach. Right inside the gate are a number of Lego animals and characters with this big Dinosaur looking over the visitors.

The Tourist with Lego toys brought a huge smile to my face. Watching kids going up the models and touching and looking and feeling each one as they enjoyed the work put into building each of these. Kids yelling to their parents to come look at their new discovery was joy to experience.

Miniland is my favorite because it is all these cities in Florida and around the country that are famous. There are plaques with descriptions to inform us about the display. Vegas, New York, California, South Beach, Tampa, and a pirate area.

The Vegas scene even had the exploding Volcano Display in front of the Mirage. The Luxor and Excalibur are amazing buildings in person so seeing them here was incredible. Loved the little person in the desert laying down as he was headed to Las Vegas. Not sure if the guy is suppose to be dead or just overheated and thirsty.

The Victorian homes of San Francisco are represented with a plaque explaining how most were lost during the 1906 Earthquake. It is great to see these houses depicted here.

Love the Fountain of Youth with the old people arriving with walkers and leaving as children.

Many of the vehicles move with a push of a button. The animated scenes draw us into the scene. The sailboats sailing on their line but with a light breeze they actually look great sailing tipped over. The attention to detail is amazing.
I did get to do some of the rides before time ran out. It was not enough time to do everything. There was a ride shaped as Train cars Merlin’s Challenge similar to Caterpillar ride. I loved it. Small for an adult but with knees folded up it was fun.

The Dragon Coaster was fun because you go through the castle of days of yore with characters from that time period and the next thing you know the coaster is rises up the track. It was a nice mild coaster other than the first droop. Most kids have been on coasters like this before. It was just the right speed for me.

Admission and other thoughts
Going to Legoland was on my wish list since I had been to California and Denmark. I don’t remember them being crowded. They were both out in the middle of nowhere too. Using a VIP voucher limited promotion found online allowed me to go FREE. I had bought the yearly pass at AAA but returned it for now. I would love to go back. I have passes for other theme parks that costs me less for an annual pass than Legoland. One has recently in the last year raised their prices but it is close and there are adult things I love to do. Concerts and parades. The Mouse is way too expensive for me at this time.
The annual pass is the best buy with the parking included if you are going more than once. Waiting until the Christmas promotions, I can see how my finances are or if I have a part time seasonal job somewhere. Going back may just have to wait. I feel the park is an excellent park for a four year old and up because of all the interaction and height restrictions. It depends on height. The Mouse in California has more kid rides than the one here in Florida but Legoland interaction is a real plus.
Taking the shuttle is a great alternative to driving and gas.
I love Legoland. I would have love a lower price for annual passes. The price is higher to get in here than in California for single day passes. I don’t get the feeling volume is the main purpose of the park. It is a really nice place. The Miniland is terrific.
I would definitely recommend at least one visit to decide for yourself if this is a park you want to go to more often. Look for and find discount prices online, in Publix, with Pepsi, AAA, or other venues. There are a number of opportunities to get in for less. Find those offers. Teachers k-12 in Florida get a free admission and if they bring their classes they get a great discount.
If you go, have a wonderful, fun time. The buffet for the money is probably the best bang for the buck because you get a salad, drink, very bready pizza, and good pasta with meat sauce for not much more than a hamburger. I scraped the topping from the pizza from three pieces onto one slice. I did not want all that bread.

Lego is the best toy ever!
never been to this theme park. my kids would love to see this.
My bedroom was like a miniature Legoland when I was a kid. I’m sure my parents hated the mess those toys created.
