Family Feud Studio Audience
Ever been in a Studio Audience? Family Feud is taping shows at Universal backstage to begin showing September 13, 2010 with Steve Harvey. Update – Taping locations for the 2011–2012 season to the Atlanta Civic Center, where Harvey lives and hosts his radio show
July 10 to Sept 19, 2010 – There is one more weekend of taping at Universal Studios. Go inside the park to the Studio Audience Center (Lost and Found) to get a FREE ticket for the show Or wait outside near the Blue Man Group and if the showing is not filled, they will come and get Universal non-paying guests.
The day I went the suggested time to meet was at 4:45pm but the lady at the Audience Center said 5 or 5:15pm was good. We were let in the gate about 5:30pm. Went through Security into another line. We waited about 30 minutes more before being escorted into seating. There is a person to pump up the guests. Teaching us clapping and hooting and hollering. Making sure we are ready to get VERY excited at the right moments.
We were packed in like sardines. The show host Steve Harvey was funny. He took questions from the audience in between takes. Not sure what day our show will air. Also, don’t want to give away the winners. There were cameras everywhere. Microphones overhead. Lots of crew to bring water to Steve, cards with the questions, makeup person to wipe any sweat or powder any shine.
We actually got to see two shows. Once we got in it was 6ish and we got out about 8ish, a long time. Fun to see all that goes on in putting on the show, the set, and audience reactions. Liked the different questions. This was my first time seeing Steve Harvey. No tee shirt or souvenir.
There is a chance to be a contestant on the show but the family needs to try out. They must be energetic, enthusiastic, and general good sports with VERY high energy.
After leaving the show, stopped at City Walk and listened to the band playing on the main stage. Walked over to Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville. Solo guitar player outside while inside the band had not started playing yet.
Lots to do at City walk without even going into clubs. Great place to walk. See the Lights. Kids running in the fountain with water shoots, trying to miss them but hoping to get wet. Games, shops and eating at a reasonable price. Just feels good.
Nice afternoon and evening for a mini vacation or staycation.
