Daytona Beach Oceanside Inn Host

Sunset and Inn Photo by Eileen

Upon arrival at Daytona Beach Oceanside Inn, the cleanliness of the hotel and friendliness of all the staff impressed me. Yes, an invited guest but aren’t all guests invited. Invited for a night or a week, guests like to be treated as guest. The sun was setting upon my arrival. With the light leaving the camera became a priority over going to my room. There was a gorgeous sunset both facing West and East which was delightful for my camera’s clicks.

DVDs Free

Pick from many listed of newer DVD releases for free usage while staying at the Inn. Furry Vengeance caught my eye and viewing pleasure for later in the evening.

Upgrades

Daytona Beach Oceanside Inn has been upgraded and rooms expanded to include what was once balconies giving the rooms a more spacious feel for the beach. Each room is own by an individual and the hotel manages renting out the rooms to guests. Each is furnished differently and range in prices. Remember to pick up coupon books at Denny’s or IHOP for less expensive nights at Daytona Beach Oceanside Inn. If they have a room available and it is not a holiday or festival week, there is a good chance you can get a clean room with a refrigerator and microwave for that price.

Some units have a kitchenette which means a sink and dishes. Or go for the full kitchen in a suite. It is your choice, you may want to look at the room first to see if it fits your needs.

What are your needs

When I travel it is usually business and pleasure, therefore I have specific needs. My needs include a desk, a table to eat at, a refrigerator, microwave, chair for seating, good reading light, outlets for my computer and good light over the desk or table for reading my work material. I like balconies in warm climates or windows to open with screens for that vacation feeling.

When you walk outside, the pool is good size with a patio with lounge chairs for laying and watching the ocean while the kids swim.  The ocean was right there. Just walk down the stairs and when returning there is a shower to rinse off you or your feet.

Social Media Meeting of central Florida Travel Bloggers and Daytona tweeters hosted by Daytona Beach Oceanside Inn

First we had a casual meet and greet with each other with an open bar of beer, water, and soda before eating. Special food with an international cuisine was served for all of us to enjoy with a place to sit in small groups and socialize. It was nice not to have to stand and eat but relax and enjoy. Many of us were meeting each other for the first time. One person brought Dilly Bars from DQ for everyone to enjoy and followed by this Amazing Cake from Taylor’D cakes.

Yes a Twitter cake with a tweeter bird, nest of Facebook  initials which was so well designed. Not only did it look good it was the best cake to taste. Incredibly delicious. Need to get this person’s website to refer others to her growing business. Just found the Facebook for this custom-made cake http://www.facebook.com/pages/Taylord-Cakes/146635498706824

Morning Breakfast

Penthouse Living Room Photo by Eileen

Special treat for the Travel Bloggers was a small gathering in the morning in the Penthouse for breakfast. This was delicious with eggs, sausage, orange juice, and milk and a marvelous view of the ocean though the floor to ceiling glass windows. The view of the strip of hotels along the ocean.
