Travel Tip: Staycation in a resort in your home state
Gaylord Palms Sign Photographer Eileen Ludwig
Going on overnights to wonderful self contained resort hotels is a great getaway. Arriving early with a plan to spend the day at the new Cypress Spring Family Water Park, the new hotel pool. First my Breakfast date with Shrek and Friends discussed in an earlier post. After breakfast checked on my room and it was ready, terrific, off to start a wonderful over night adventure in this self contained paradise.
Before messing it up with luggage out came the camera.

Travel Tips: Road trips are exciting no matter how close or far you drive
Planning a vacation road trip usually means fifteen hours of driving but this time the longest part would be maybe two hours. Love finding local events and destinations to dedicate to playing for a week. Love Road trips no matter how far and love being a tourist where ever I go. Super excited doing very different activities for a week. Although Central Florida has been the main destination on many trips, this one is filled with many new awesome activities.

Travel Tips: Best boat Cruise in Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi
The Water Taxi is a wonderful discovery for sightseeing and being on the Water in Fort Lauderdale. There are other boat tours but with Water Taxi for one price you can go all day and night. Love the lights at night. Hop off to Eat, go to the Beach, or shop.

Many come into town without a car and stay in Hotels along the Intracoastal Waterway and New River. Easily travel around Fort Lauderdale or down to Hollywood or depending on the time of year, head on down to South Beach and perhaps spend a night there. On this particular day, I rode the Water Taxi to Hollywood just to see the ride. There were a number of people on board who had traveled up from Hollywood to go shopping on Las Olas Boulevard where there are high end shopping.

Travel Tips: Construction and Building is for everyone
Did you build with blocks? Tinker Toys? Lincoln Logs? Erector sets? What was your toy for building? Legoland is encouraging Girls to become builders which can lead to the engineers of the future. An interest in creating!

Legoland is introducing new Lego Friends – Olivia, Andrea, Stephanie, Emma, and Mia. It is exciting to see someone celebrate Girls building. My wish when I was growing up was a Erector set with pulleys, wrenches, and all the tools to build with fake steel, nuts, bolts, and fun. When I was in High School I wanted to be an Architect and the guidance counselor pulled out a book that STATED – if you have girls interested in Architecture – discourage them – it is a Man’s field. Things have changed. This is the first I have heard of it being a celebration.
The event will have the girls meeting Master Model Builder, Adora. Girls and boys can build. Heartlake City Lego Model will be . . . → Read More: Legoland Girls Build prepares future Engineers

Travel Tips: Have Fun
Jack Hanna
Jack Hanna shows are fun to see and learn from an expert or at least a celebrity. He visits theme parks and TV shows to show us animals and frighten David Letterman. He is a World Traveler with a great tan and khaki outfit. When he is in your neighborhood make the effort to go see his shows where he brings his assistants to help out with the animals.
