Being in Theme Park Capital of the World we will need to do a lot in a little time.

Orlando

Friday Lunch

• Benihana Free Birthday Dinner Express Lunch between noon and 2:30 The Lunch is great, less money, less food but the same great taste.
• Magic Kingdom for part of the afternoon and early evening. Catch a parade or a show, or go on Thunder Mountain Railroad my favorite ride.

Friday Night

• Late Show at 9m Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba Orlando Florida Walt Disney World Downtown Disney

• Walk around the Waterfront after the show, sit have a drink, head back to your Comfort Suites hotel near Old Town

Saturday Day

Universal Studios and Universal Island of Adventure where we can

• Ride the roller coasters (not for me but lots of people love them)
• Shows Beetle Juice (fun show with monsters, dancing, and singing)

• Blues Brothers
• Ride the ET ride and fly through the air (Always do this ride)

• Woody Woodpecker ride where you pull the horns on the way in for lots of fun sound effects (Love this ride)
• Cat and Hat ride where you spin around and are inside the storybook with Thing I and Thing II (Awesome especially after seeing the movie)

• The train overhead throughout Zeus Landing is fun and colorful

• The Talking Fountain is one of my favorites where I can stand and watch as he soaks the children or streams his fountain higher and higher. (spend at least half an hour here watching because it is so fun)

• Harry Potter Land where you have a number of roller coasters from tame (for me) and more daring

• Get a Wand (Made in China not England)
• Frozen Butterbeer is the best because it gives texture to the drink (Definitely want one of these)

• Much more but we must return to the other side for the concert and stilt walkers are at 9pm

Saturday Night

• Universal Studios Orlando Resort Summer Concert Series

• Love the Concerts at Universal Studios Winter, Mardi Gras, Spring, Summer Fun

Saturday Night Later

• Margaritaville for Hamburger with Jimmy Buffet Music

• Pat O’briens for Dueling Pianos (Fun to laugh)

Sunday Day

SeaWorld

• Photowalk Theme Park SeaWorld Photographic Art and Video of Seals feeding
• Blue Horizons is a must see with colorful costumes, dolphins, acrobats, parrots, birds in flight, and divers.

• Shamu the Whale show called One Ocean. Ride the Coasters. See the Pet Shows.

Sunday night

• SeaWorld Summer Nights Fireworks similar to the Winter SeaWorld Fireworks Christmas Celebration Orlando 2010

Another Weekend in Orlando?

• Halloween Downtown Disney
• Leu Gardens for flowers and Photowalk

As a member of Choice Hotels I have stayed at many of the hotels in the area before moving here so can recommend the following for the Orlando Area at the time of this writing.

• Comfort Suites Maingate East Best Choice hotel close to Disney and Old Town and Kool Katz Restaurant. This hotels has great big suites with a refrigerator and microwave. There is a full hot Breakfast Buffet in the mornings that is spread around three walls of the large eating area to accommodate travelers. The pool is gorgeous and open 24 hours but watch for the Racoons who love the Garbage bins for the old Pizza boxes.
  • Close by near the Publix Supermarket  is a Review Logan’s Roadhouse Restaurant Great Savings for two for one dinners from  3 to 6 everyday or all day Mon, Tues, and Wed similar to one on Sand Lake. I have eaten at both and they are both good
• Comfort Inn International Best Choice hotel close to Universal Studios. The rooms here vary from no refrigerator and microwave to a business suite with a nice desk to work using their high speed broadband Internet Connection. Wireless is also Available. There is a breakfast break area with cold hard boiled eggs, cereal, and several danish, toasts, or other breads and more.

• Weather cooler? Head to Leu Gardens Orlando Florida Museum Holiday Decor until Jan 6 for a Photowalk Leu Gardens Orlando Florida Free Monday

Tampa Bay

• Clarion Hotel near Busch Gardens has nice rooms, huge heated pool, kids pool with Pirate Boat, Gazebo poolside Breakfast served hot or cereals.

Day time

• Busch Gardens Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy

• Rides, shows, Animals, roller coasters, lots of roller coasters

Night Time

• Island Nights Adventure Island Water Park Tampa Florida

Fort Lauderdale

• The nearest Cambria Suites Hotel is in the Fort Lauderdale AreaI have not stayed at this Hotel.
• Water Taxi Fort Lauderdale Venice of America Pirate Republic Stop12

  • Jump off and eat at numerous restaurants or go to the beach or take a sailboat ride
• Fort Lauderdale Beach Great American Beach Party
• Enjoy a Big Band, or people watch.

Another Weekend?

Do you need me to plan any other weekends in Florida? There is tons to do here and it does not take much to find it. As with any town there are festivals, carnivals, home town fairs, baseball games, lots of plays and symphony for the Theater arts

Beaches at Cocoa, Daytona, Fort Lauderdale, South Beach, Tampa, Clearwater, Key West, and South Beach are all good Weekend or long weekend getaways Beaches United States of America
