Adventure Island

Tropical Water Park in Tampa opened March 12 and will be opened every day starting March 19. A Key West atmosphere. This is a nice little water park with different levels of water slides. The rides are spread out into sections surrounded by beach and grass. There is a kids area for the smaller children. Family rides where everyone is in the same tube are fun to take the children with you on a ride that might be more challenging.

I like the Riptide which is four lanes except the enclosed part at the top is not something I like.

My favorite is the lazy river.

Water Country USA has the downhill slide with more lanes, by a different name, open from top to bottom. I used to do that at least 10 times each time I went.  Water Country is part of the 10 Park System that includes all three SeaWorld, Two Busch Gardens, Sesame Street, and Aquatica.

There is beach for those sun worshipers which is transformed into Caribbean Nights celebration during Summer nights. There are Polynesian hula dancing, bands, fire performers, and of course food for the atmosphere. Watching the dancers and fire performers means finding a spot to see through the crowds but the later show has less people. My pictures of Island nights are on a Hard Drive that has not been accessible. If I am able to resurrect the Hard Drive, I will have them again. Plus a new trip to the park will give me new pictures which I will put in a New Post.

Family friendly DJs get the children and the parents up and involved in events that are fun. Travel

Island Nights will be Thursday through Saturday June 9 to August 13 . New this year the other nights will still be extended hours. This event is fun to go see while enjoying the water rides earlier in the day.

***** Buying a multipark ticket is the most cost saving. Getting at least one that includes parking might be worthwhile for a family. Do the math. Decide what you will see and how often. Buying the ezpay model has worked the best for me. I pay a small amount each month.
